The Playbook Project Activates Communities Across San Diego County
Ahead of its countywide distribution, The Playbook Project worked directly with schools and community leaders to prepare local sites and connect with families.
At Escondido High School, Elijah Johnson met with Assistant Principal Jeremy Krefft and highlighted the school's role in serving approximately 25 families from the Escondido community. The visit showed how the larger countywide effort depended on trusted local partners at each location.
Johnson described the project as bigger than food. By bringing schools, athletes, businesses, and civic leaders together, the initiative aimed to strengthen unity, service, and a shared sense of responsibility across San Diego County.
