The Playbook Project Serves 450 Families Across All 18 Cities

The Playbook Project Serves 450 Families Across All 18 Cities
The inaugural Playbook Project distributed approximately 13,000 pounds of food to 450 families while bringing together participants from all 18 cities in San Diego County.
The countywide initiative depended on volunteers, sponsors, schools, churches, athletes, public officials, community organizations, and business partners. Working alongside the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, the project coordinated multiple sites around one common purpose.
Elijah Johnson described the result as a historic demonstration of regional unity: 18 cities, 450 families, 13,000 pounds of food, and one mission. The project's organizers thanked the many partners who helped convert an ambitious idea into measurable community impact.
The successful first year also created a foundation for future editions. Organizers began looking ahead to an even larger impact while preserving the collaboration and service that defined the original event.
