SafeBallot Founders Meet with Members of Congress
Elijah and Donatella Johnson traveled to Washington, D.C., to discuss SafeBallot and the future of election participation with members of Congress. The founders met with Representatives Latifah Simon and Young Kim to talk about accessibility, election modernization, cybersecurity, and public trust.
The meetings allowed the SafeBallot team to present its ideas directly to national policymakers while learning more about the practical and institutional concerns surrounding voting technology.
For Donatella, who grew up in Eswatini, participating in conversations about strengthening democratic systems carried personal significance. For the company, the visit marked an important step in building relationships with government leaders and positioning SafeBallot within the broader discussion about secure elections.
